The third phase of the 137th China Import and Export Fair will officially kick off from May 1st to May 5th this year. Our company went to Guangzhou yesterday to carry out the pre-launch arrangement work.
The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) has long been an important window for China's opening up to the outside world and a significant platform for foreign trade, as well as an important channel for enterprises to explore the international market. Each session of the Canton Fair attracts extensive attention from the global business community and all sectors of society. Since 2020, in response to the impact of the epidemic, the Canton Fair has been held online for six consecutive sessions, playing a positive role in unblocking the foreign trade industrial and supply chains and stabilizing the basic position of foreign trade and foreign investment. With the optimization and adjustment of China's epidemic prevention and control policies, domestic and foreign enterprises have met the conditions to participate in exhibitions offline. Since the year before last, the Canton Fair has also resumed offline activities. This exhibition is the third phase of the 137th Canton Fair and will be held from May 1st to May 5th.

The host city, Guangzhou, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, the provincial capital of Guangdong, a sub-provincial city, a national central city, a megacity, and the core city of the Guangzhou Metropolitan Area. Guangzhou is a world-class first-tier city. The China Import and Export Fair held every year attracts a large number of merchants as well as investments from a large number of foreign-funded enterprises and Fortune 500 companies. It ranks third on the list of China's top 100 cities. In 2018, Guangzhou ranked first in China in terms of the Human Development Index and third in terms of the National Central City Index.
